ABOUT THE BRAND

Pierre Bruna was the family's first soapmaker. Today over a century later, Serge Bruna, a Marseille Master Soapmaker, and his wife Laurence are carrying on the family soapmaking tradition. They manufacture a wide range of Marseille Soap products that are enjoyed by their many customers across the globe. Savonnerie de la Licorne soaps are made from 100% pure vegetable oils.

HOW TO USE

In a pan, heat 500 ml of water without boiling but until it is very hot.

Then pour 50g Marseille soap flakes and stir until the soap is dissolved and forms a homogeneous liquid solution

In the bowl, pour another 500 ml of water at room temperature.

Using a wooden spoon, stir again to incorporate the contents of the bowl.

Once the mixture is homogeneous, pour the contents of the saucepan into your bottle using the funnel.

Let stand for 24 hours.

Optional: add 2 tablespoons of baking soda and/or a few drops of your favorite essential oil.

Any questions?

Why are many of your home goods more expensive than typical home tools or kitchen products?

Most conventional home products are made with cheap plastics designed to be replaced often.

Our collection focuses on durable materials, thoughtful craftsmanship, and long-lasting performance, so you buy fewer items over time.

Many of our products are handmade or produced by small brands that prioritize ethical production and sustainable materials.

Where are your products made?

We prioritize products made by independent makers, with many items produced in Canada, Europe, and other regions known for craftsmanship.

Each product page lists the country of origin so you can make an informed choice.

Are these products actually durable enough for everyday use?

Yes. Every product in our home collection is selected for real-life performance.

We test and curate items that can stand up to everyday household tasksโ€”from dishwashing brushes to textiles and cleaning toolsโ€”so they look beautiful but also work exceptionally well.

Are these products eco-friendly?

Our goal is to help you reduce waste without sacrificing quality. That means prioritizing:

  • Natural materials
  • Plastic-free or low-plastic designs
  • Long-lasting construction
  • Reusable alternatives to disposable products

Buying fewer, better things is one of the most effective ways to reduce household waste.
