Because wood is a natural product it is prone to drying and warping. Wood components that are exposed to high heat and moisture, such as the lid pull and handle, may eventually dry out and crack (like repeatedly putting a cutting board in a dishwasher). To prevent this, we recommend periodically applying mineral oil to the lid pull & handle once per month - and buffing with a soft cloth. It’s also good practice to do this any time you notice the wood feeling especially dry.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Wash the inside of the kettle with soapy water and rinse. Never immerse the kettle in water or other liquids. Do not place in a dishwasher. Wipe the exterior of the kettle and base with a damp cloth or sponge and dry. Do not use abrasive soaps, cleansers, or scouring pads on any part of the kettle as it may damage the finish.

This product should be used for as long as possible and then donated to give it a new life. Otherwise, it is disposable.

We repurpose all packaging materials we receive for order shipments, including any cardboard boxes, paper, tissue, and corn-based packing peanuts. We use recyclable paper tape with water activated adhesive. Sometimes, plastic wrapping falls on our hands from certain vendors. We keep it for situations where a bit of bubble wrap will help better protect your product.
We encourage you to repurpose it and keep it going around :)
