100% pure Canadian beeswax, poured in honey bee-shaped medallions. Can be used for making lotions, lip balms and salves.
NOTE: At the moment of cutting, medallions may loose their perfect shape. But you're going to melt them anyway.
Pure Beeswax produces a fragrant candle that burns longer and cleaner than ordinary wax candles. It has the highest melting point of any known wax. It's slow, smokeless flame gives off more light and heat than other waxes and without dripping.
Made by industrious honeybees from the nectar of flowers, beeswax has a sweet, natural fragrance of its own. It is produced by bees in the form of tiny scales that are "sweated" from the segments on the underside of their abdomens. To stimulate the production of beeswax, the bees gorge themselves with honey or sugar syrup and huddle together to raise the temperature of the cluster.
Caution: Overheating this product will impact its delicate fragrance. Please melt at as low a heat as possible while stirring gently, and use as soon as it is melted. When melting beeswax, always use a water bath by placing the container of wax - probably a small saucepan - inside a larger pan of water. Never place a pan of wax directly on a hot plate or gas ring. Beeswax can easily become damaged by localized overheating and if it ignites, can burn more ferociously than any chip pan fire. Beeswax does not boil - it just gets hotter and hotter until it ignites.
